Midstates Classic Cars & Parts returned from the Association of Handcrafted Automobiles Show at Knott’s Berry Farm in California with the annual traveling trophy for Good Manufacturing Practice. Prior Midstates owner and current General Manager Bob Kallio accepted the award on behalf of the company. The company, formerly a family owned operation manufacturing the Cobra replica in Hooper, Nebraska, was purchased by Rich Anderson of Shell Valley Companies, Inc. in 1999 and moved to Shell Valley’s rural Platte Center location in 2004.
The Knott’s Berry Farm A.H.A. Show is one of the nation’s premiere car shows with over 300 replicas displayed by manufacturers and dealers from across the United States. Anderson states, “I truly credit Bob Kallio, his wife Vanessa, and their team for the reputation Midstates has earned over the years in the kit car industry for workmanship, quality, and customer satisfaction. This honor is well deserved.”
In addition to Midstates winning this very prestigious award, Shell Valley has won it twice in the last five years. Shell Valley manufactures kit car replicas of the Cobra, Cheetah, “A” Roadster, Jaguar C-Type, and Daytona Coupe Series 2.
