Shell Valley Companies, Inc. brought home five major awards from the Association of Handcrafted Automobiles Show at Knott’s Berry Farm in Anaheim, California on April 12. This is the fifth consecutive year Shell Valley has earned top honors at the show in its nearly six years of new ownership.
In addition to showing this year’s Cobra replica showcar, the company also introduced its two newest replicas, the Chevy Cheetah and the “A” Hot Rod Roadster. The Cobra received awards for Best Cobra in the 427 S.C. Cobra Replica category and Best Car of Show selected from all categories. The Chevy Cheetah won the award for Special Interest, and the “A” Hot Rod Roadster received the award for Best Street Rod. The company also was honored with the Manufacturer of the Year award.
The Knott’s Berry Farm A.H.A. Show is considered one of the nation’s premiere car shows. “We would have been honored to have received any one of these prestigious awards; to have five is certainly a reflection on our employees’ commitment to quality,” Shell Valley owner and President Rich Anderson said. “I am so pleased for all of our employees. It’s truly a team effort. ”
Shell Valley also manufactures street rod parts and other fiberglass products for industry, agriculture, hobby and household use. This fall they will be introducing another new replica, the Jaguar Tipo 166 which will bring the total replica kit offerings to four.
