The company was founded in 1971 as 3 companies. Rich Anderson purchased the companies in 1997 as Shell Valley Companies, Inc. In 1999, Rich purchased Midstates Classics Cars & Parts and in 2004 moved it to Shell Valley's location. Midstates had been a family owned operation for over 18 years with an outstanding reputation for manufacturing some of the finest Cobra replicas ever produced. Aligning ourselves with Midstates allowed us to assure our customers of long-term service, excellent product offerings, and top quality. By combining the best Cobra replica features and technology of both companies, in 2007 we introduced our new Generation II Cobra replica (see the press release dated 9/19/07 in our web site NewsRoom section). In 2003, Shell Valley East was opened in Connecticut with a sales office to better serve East coast customers. Also in 2003, Shell Valley purchased molds for our Daytona Coupe Series II from R&D Concepts, Inc. of Omaha, Nebraska.

Shell Valley has an impressive array of product offerings. We pride ourselves in producing replicas of popular but rare and historically nostalgic cars. In addition to the 1967 S.C. 427 Cobra replica, we produce replicas of the 1963 Cheetah, 1951 Jaguar C-Type, 1928 "A" Roadster, 1964 Daytona Coupe Series II, and fiberglass Jeep replacement bodies. We are currently in the research and development stages of a '32 Ford Coupe and Roadster and a '41 Willys Coupe and Pickup. We manufacture and/or purchase and distribute street rod parts and accessories and manufacture fiberglass bodies, chassis and parts for other companies. Other offerings include fiberglass molds and products for industry, agriculture, household and hobby uses.

Over the last 10 years of new ownership, Shell Valley has dramatically increased its presence in the replica kit car industry and boasts many accomplishments and awards (scroll down on our web site Replicas & Kits section). We've won virtually every category at the very competitive Knott's Berry Farm A.H.A. Car Show including some of the awards two and three times. We continue to have many feature articles in leading industry magazines for our show cars, innovativeness, etc., and it's very rewarding for us to see our customers featured with their beautiful completed cars. Aside from awards for our replicas, the company has been honored as Business of the Year locally as well as Small Business of the Year for the state.
